How has becoming a parent changed your perception of work and career and what surprised you the most?
It’s interesting my perception of my career hasn’t changed however, It surprised me how difficult it is to juggle sick kids. It’s always me sacrificing my job to look after the kids not my husband. I feel my career comes second to his based on his higher income.
What advice would you give your younger self about starting a family?
There is no perfect time
What has been your biggest challenge in motherhood to date? How have you overcome this?
Trying to hold onto the person I was and mould her as our family grows and life changes. It’s so important not to forget yourself and who you were before children.
What are your strategies to manage the juggle of career and family?
Honestly, the best thing is just planning I block out my whole month in advance.

Still figuring this out but taking time for myself. Sharing the load with my hubby when he’s home (FIFO). Having a nap when I need it or getting the nanny around so I can rest.
What do you do for self-care?
I see my osteo at least once a month, diving into learning new things I always want more learning is fun for me.
